Traces Of Me
Words & Music by Mairéad

Chorus
There are traces of me all around I can feel them
But I can’t plug into,
Yes there are traces of me all around I can sense it
But I keep falling apart

So here we are in the 21
st century,
living in a land we were promised was meant to be
A land of ultimate prosperity, for all a state of intimate clarity
Break it back we are burdened with reality
A time of need protracted polarity
Right wing, left wing, devisive commonality
The only thing uniting is egoic fallability

Chorus

Recession, depression, housing falling markets
The rich keep getting richer and the poor hope to get started
Come join my face, spacebook, take another real look
May not exist here but there you’re all you wanted
Ecology, technology, gene modified biology
The promise of perfection is our new fulltime obsession
Have you got your iphone, have you got your flatscreen
All you need to live the dream
Chorus
Bridge
Where is the center part the one still voice that lives in m heart ….

Gave my heart
words & music by Mairéad

Chorus
I gave my heart, I gave my soul, I gave my life, I gave it all
I gave my love, I gave my truth, I gave myself, I gave my youth

Verse 1
The wheels of life, they keep on spinning and none of us are getting any younger
In youth we chose all our dreams and aspirations all our egos driven with force.
But now in our wisdom we see the world around us is not always what we thought it would be
And after the anger has broken to frustration what are we gonna be Chorus

Verse 2
Time can become friends if we let it,
experience food for thought
how we use it to our credit is each ones personal power.
But never underestimate the moment you hold in your hands
You know the fruits of all this painful labour can be reaped in your
own land.

Chorus

Cake
words & music by Mairéad

Verse 1
One more jump on the horse’s back,
You got to have the courage to get back on track
The world is your oyster that’s all you need to know
It’s never too late to get back in the show

Chorus
And you can have your cake and eat it,
You can have your cake and eat it
You can have your cake and eat it
Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da (x2)

Verse 2
Yeah one more jump on the horses back
You need to have the courage to get back on track
A few pounds heavier it’s weighing you down
but giving up your dreams, well you may as well drown
Drown in the waters of your misery
Fat and unhappy is that how you want to be

Chorus
Bridge : Get up, get up, get out of your lazy bed (x2)

Verse 3
Oh one more jump on the horses back
You need to  have the courage to get back on track
There’s no need to hurry take as long as you like
But just don’t miss out on the chances that come once in your life

Chorus

Siren Song
words & music by Mairéad

Verse 1
What's that you say, you say today, didn't hear the call.
You closed your eyes, you blocked your ears to avoid the inevitable. But out on the oceans edge, you tried to avoid it, but it still pulled you in, Into the Siren Song.

Verse 2
It calls to you, oh what to do, as the urgency grows
What will come of it, will it end in tears nobody knows
As the crystal waters rise, the maidens passions surprise and tie you to Into the Siren Song.

Bridge
And though you know of its charms
The medicine revives you, the witching call beguiles
You cannot resist the trials it forces you to fold, fold into
Into the Siren Song.

For the sunshine through the clouds, (I pray, I pray)
For your laughter sung out loud (I pray, I pray)

For your confidence and trust (I pray, I pray)
For your love reigned down on us (I pray, I pray)
For sweet clarity in this dust I pray for you

I pray for you to

Prayer during outro: Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon:
where there is doubt, faith ;
where there is despair, hope
where there is darkness, light
where there is sadness, joy
O divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.

Child In Love
words & music by Mairéad

Verse 1
One look is all it takes to help me realize that my hope was not misplaced
One touch is all it takes to help me recognize the steps to be retraced.

Cos I believed as a child that it would all come right,
Yes I believed as a child, that the truth could never be denied
Knowing all is well when your heart is true, no one can ever take your truth from you, yes I believed as a child in love

Instrumental

Verse 2
But time that was once a friend can become a foe to the innocence of the unknown
To live to keep breathing in the intoxicating breath of what’s to come
And stay sure in you’re the path as the bitterness creeps in
To stay still in your heart as the demon dance begins and keep

Knowing all is well when your heart is true no on can ever take your truth from you, all is well when your heart is trues no one can ever take your truth from you
Can I still believe as a child in love, can I still believe, can I still believe as a child, as a child in love.

Old One
Words & Music by Mairéad

There lived, there lived an old one, a gray  and brave and bold one
Who climbed the highest mountain and came back down to lay her head down
And when the old one laid her head down, she turned into a river rain dam

The river rained and rained and rained and rained up to the sea walls
Calling to the other trailers, make your way out of the hail dust
Come see the child who bears the pale mark of sweet river juice and raindrops

The child was grown in wildness open wide and guideless
And the world just kept on turning with all it let define it
The child was grown in wholeness only knowing home as oneness

‘Til the child became an old one, a gray and brave and bold one
And the world just kept on turning, the world just kept on rolling.

Rain (How Beautiful The Sound )
Words & Music by Mairéad

Oh the dark has blocked the light in my art, in my heart
It makes me dig it makes me strive from the start
Never find an end in sight in my life, in my life
Keep the face, hold the part, Mask is tight, Mask is tight

Chorus
But how beautiful the sound, as the rain comes pouring down
Yeah, yeah, how beautiful the sounds as the rain keeps falling down

Grab your bags, hold your weight in the game, in this game
Can’t let go, we’ve come too far to break the chain, break the chain
Let it live, liet it grow come what may, come what may,
Yeah now it the time to let it flow, let it rain, let it rain

Chorus
Instrumental

Move The  Mountain
Words & Music by Mairéad

Chorus
Move, Move the mountain, move, move the mountain

Verse 1
I want to believe, I want to believe in a new, new generation
I‘ve got to believe, I’ve got to believe in a great, great revolution
Cos why are all we mothers giving birth,
Why we recreate while our sister’s hurt
if we cannot believe, believe in a new way

Chorus

Verse 2
Well my sisters, oh my sisters and my brothers too
My mothers and my fathers I am talking to you
We cannot let them do to our children
What, what, they have done to us
So come, come on now

Chorus
Bridge (sung over chorus)
Move the mountain of hate, move the mountain of greed,
Move the mountain of the great manipulation
Move the mountain of war, move the mountain of fear,
Move the mountain of political separation
It is not in our interest to play their game,
It is not in our interest to let the big brother win
No, no we cannot let, we cannot lat, let the big brother win
So come on now, come on

Chorus

What Do We Do?
Words & music by Mairéad

What do we do when the smiling’s gone and the laughter ends in tears?
What do we do when the love that’s bonded has been uglified with
Fear of ourselves, fear of the truth,
Fear of been sucked in by someone’s dark black
Hole in my heart, the whole of the moon seems so shaded now by the anger in this room.

What do we do, what do we do?
When all I wanted was to love you.
What do we do, what do we do?

And I will never lose sight of my “insight”
And I will never lose patience with the process
No matter how hard it seems sometimes to move forward
I will never falter from this course

And I will never deny my own passion
And I will never deny my own truth
And for your sake and mine I will stand in this truth
Even when it hurts us to face the abuse
Because the abuse in my heart is mirrored in yours
The opportunity is always there to heal
And I will never walk away from you even though it hurts to stay
Because I am bonded by my commitment to you

And all the while our fragility hangs precariously on the line
But I will never give up my belief in you

And I will hope that we can find an agreement
And I will pray for us to walk on common ground
Cos I know that somewhere you end myself begins
And I am willing to seek out that part

And all the while our fragility, hangs precariously on the line
And I will never give up my belief in you

What do we do, what do we do?
When all I wanted was to love you.

Be Here Now
words & music Mairéad

Verse 1 If I could choose to throw away all the things I've learned
there's part of me that wouldn't shed a tear
Sometimes I feel the burden that I carry inside would be easier if I
could hide the truth.

Verse 2 Cos the truth hurts it forces you to change the way you are,
it drags you down to the place of endless joy.
Well if it's so damn endless why do I feel pain when I'm trying to let
it go bridge lyrics to be finished

Bridge: Go away, go away, go away and be who I am and be where I am, be in my heart, be in my life, be all the things that I can feel right
Live how I can, live in my heart, live in the moment, live in my art
Live in my truth, live in the now, live where I am and breathe in the tao, And I know if I go there I know what I’ll feel, I know I’ll be everything , everything real, in my mind in my heart, in my blood in my soul I know if I keep breathing that I’m coming home,
Yeah so just keep living and breathing and being here, (x4)

Verse 3: So struggle on through from the depths of your soul
Wade through all your dreams, Someday soon maybe you'll see them live but for now take heart that you've triumphed past the hardest part Just by living and breathing and being here, yeah by living and breathing and being here

It is difficult to know where to begin with thanks and acknowledgements when so much time and life has passed since my last album. All I can say is that this piece of work was truly a labour of love from start to finish. It is infused with so many life events that i humbly bow my head and say thank you to all this is. To life, to death, to breath. To creativity, love, friendship. To all who supported me on this journey, each and every note is imbued with your energy. Mr. Fuhrman, I could not have done this without you. Mr. Goodwin and Mr. Zhivago, I am honoured by your talent and experience. To my musicians who played with commitment and integrity I salute you.

And to my three boys with whom I have the privilege of living with, I thank you for letting me be myself today
